Cabinetry is an expensive investment, and you don’t want to ruin the cabinet doors by using the wrong techniques! We have all the do’s and don’ts outlines in our cabinet cleaning guide.
Painted Doors
DO: Periodically clean cabinets with a mild detergent and water solution to remove dirt, dust and grease that buildup with routine usage.
DON’T: Do not use abrasive cleansers, ammonia or any other type of harsh chemical.
Thermofoil and Acrylic Doors
DO: Use a cotton cloth or non-abrasive sponge
o Option 1: Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge with mild soap
o Option 2: Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge using 50/50 mix of water and a degreaser, such as Spray Nine or Simple Green
DON’T: Do not use harsh household cleaners and abrasives
